Sampit

Sampit is the capital city of Kotawaringin Timur Regency of Kalimantan Tengah Province. It is one of the oldest town in the Kotawaringin Timur, This town is already mentioned in Kakawin Nagarakertagama which was written in 1365 and in the Hikayat Banjar which its last part was written in 1663. Sampit is is a timber port and it is the biggest timber port in Indonesia.
